Higher Council of Thalassemia in Kurdistan meet today

Today in the Directorate General of Health in Duhok a meeting between the Higher Council of Thalassemia in Kurdistan and the Director General of Health in Dohuk, Dr. Nizar Esmat was hold, after the welcome and praise for all that has been done on, the delegation stressed the continued support of the Directorate General for patients with thalassemia.

   Dr. (Bakhtiar Ahmed) said in a statement : “providing all the facilities needed and working to eliminate this disease and processing all the laboratory tests before recording (marriage contract) for all young people and couples is one of the priorities” he conclude, as well as added: through which diagnosing disease holders and raising  the awareness of citizens about the means of prevention and opening a specialized center in the district of Akre for these patients, who numbered (170) patients up-to-date.
