The Mental Health Support Project Launches in Duhok City

 On Oct 10, 2018, the mental health support project for children and adolescents has been launched in Duhok district. With the presence of the director of directorate of health, Dr. Nezar Esmat and Mr. Mickely Muranna, the head of Italian agency for development and cooperation.

Dr. Nezar Esmat declared, “On the world mental health day, the program has started working with the collaboration of Italy. Moreover, he added that this program would positively become supportive to the mental health for offering a healthier service to children and teenagers. Also, to assist Duhok health in providing what we are in need and lack of having.”

“Furthermore, mobile teams would be offered to go to diagnose and treat the people who are unable and cannot visit to the center. Besides, to implement several duties like renovating the center, providing some new devices and materials, conducting long-term trainings for the staff of the center to enhance their capabilities and assist them in research writings then distributing them. We demand them to continue supporting Duhok Health, since it has been five years of their frequent support, which they left a huge impact on Duhok Health generally,” Dr. Esmat stated.

Dr. Mickely Muranna, the head of Italian agency for development and cooperation, claimed that an excessive service has been presented concerning the mental health field in Duhok city.

He also affirmed that mental health is a vital subject and Italy has several successful years of experience in this field, they would gladly support Duhok for delivering better services for those who are in need
