Training Course on Diabetes and How Living With

      According to The World Health Organization has predicted that diabetes will become the seventh leading cause of death in 2030. Therefore, the Department of Non-communicable Diseases (NCD) of the Directorate of Health prevention Affairs in Duhok Governorate held two training courses for health staff on seriousness of this disease.

Dr. Bayar Khalil, head of NCD’s section at the Directorate of Health Prevention Affairs, has stated that: "We have arranged two training sessions on diabetes in the  hall of health prevention. Each course lasted two days for 72 employees of health centers from Zakho,  Al-Aqra and Dohuk Governorate.

 

     Dr. Khalil explained the purpose of these two sessions is to raise the level of health awareness among citizens since diabetes can be ranking the most prominent non communicable disease according to   the world health oranization reports that is propably be the seventh factor of death in 2030.

 

It must  be noted that the two sessions were organized by the World Health Organization and the Iraqi Ministry of Health Department of non-communicable diseases.
