Duhok confirms first cases of H1N1 flu virus in Qadesh

After the emergence of doubts about the signs of swine flu on two students from one primary school in Qdash located in one of the governorates of Dohuk province Kurdistan of Iraq, it has been sent forms to the laboratories at the Ministry of Health in Baghdad and the results showed that both were detected as Allmiven swine flu type  H1N1 virus and this is the first two cases appear in the province.

In the meantime, Dr. Abdullah Saeed Director General of Health Dohuk province has been informed that both cases  which have been sent to Baghdad showed and without any doubts that have been subjected to the swine flu type H1N1, "said Dr Abdullah: that these injuries are the first of its kind to be discovered and formally all the required official procedures  and quarantined for necessary tests have been implemented where they put patients at Amadiyah  hospital for several days after the submission of the necessary treatment and improvement in both cases and the absence of any risk to their lives have been discharged from the hospital.

Director General of Health added that the official statistics across Iraq until 11/11/2009 extent at the 1141 registered cases, most in Baghdad (675), in Wast (212) and other provinces (Tikrit, Basra, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Kirkuk and Mosul).

This was confirmed by dr. Abdullah Saeed Director General of Health in Dohuk that everyone, especially children and the elderly, pregnant women, when signs of the flu, they should go to the nearest health center to do the action required and access to treatment.
