Controlling on Cholera Disease in Duhok

In May 15^th, 2013, through the presence of the mayors of   Duhok’s district with some the directors; they set a committee to tackle the Cholera at the General Directorate of Duhok Health. Mr. Ismail Mohamed, who supervised on this committee, clarified the aim of this meeting is to realize the health status and control on the Cholera disease by set a planning against this disease.

As the general director of Duhok Health Dr. Nezar Ismat outlined through his statement, that will be forming a high-level committees annually to eradicate Cholera with making Dumez Camp into our consideration.

Dr. Kawa Mohammad Amin clarified that Duhok Health follow up the diseases and during the last months we had (11) hundred tests where the rate of people infected with cholera was zero. Otherwise Dr. Sirwan Mohammed Aswad, the director of health protection of the Directorate General for Duhok Health lighted on the testes came from all districts and counties in the province of Duhok to the concerned authorities and appealed at the meeting the Water Directorate to provide the chlorine more and repair water systems to eradicate this disease.
