Starting off National Campaign to Vaccinate against Polio

A vaccination campaign against polio was started in the Chaldean culture center, in the presence of the Duhok Governor Mr. Farhad Atrushi and Dr. Nizar Esmet, General Director of Duhok Health and the representatives of international organizations. Mr. Farhad had clarified the ability of the Chaldeans center to collect all displaced people in all religions of Christians and Yazidis together where considered as a message to the whole world that can residents live with each other regardless of their beliefs and religious, also noting the work of the Directorate of Duhok Health, which lies with UNICEF and WHO organizations to control on the polio through the vaccination campaigns for more than 258 displaced from Mosul and about 65 thousand and 184 thousand displaced people from Sinjar and Zumar, excluding ten thousands refugees of western Kurdistan.  Dr. Nizar had mentioned the launch of campaign was based on the directives by the Health Ministry in collaboration with UNICEF; this was the fifth campaign to preserve the safety of the refugees.

 Furthermore, Dr. Loma Hazim the supervisor on the vaccination campaigns teams at the prevention directorate mentioned of formation more than 647 teams were roving for the success of the campaign which lasts for five days.
