The Statistics of Duhok- Health

The General Directorate of Health in Duhok Governorate announced its statistics of  the last year, where the number of health institutions' patients reached 3914705 last year, the number of patients in hospitals and private centers reached and  it should be recalled that the number of cancer patients amounted to about 1045. furthermore, 60076 surgeries were performed  and the total number of dailysis was 19758, and kidney transplantation was 72, cardiac catheter 1791 and heart surgery 245 operations.

The general directore of Duhok health, added that the number of natural births in the province last year was 42220, the number of deaths was 4495, while the number of deaths in children less than one year is 687 and the mortality  who is less than five years reached 879.  During this, Dr. Nizar pointed out the most important causes of death in patients are cancer, heart disease, blood flow disorders, cerebral thrombosis and traffic accidents.

with regard to the statistics of displaced people visiting the health institutions reached 269,657, the number of displaced persons in hospitals and private centers reached 11260, the number of births among the displaced reached 7470, and 3048 operations were carried out for the displaced.
