Opening the Annual Conference by the Health Minister in Duhok Health

The annual conference of the General Directorate of Duhok Health had started on 23^rd of Jan. by the Health Minister, Dr.Rekaut Hamma Rashid in the presence of the Duhok governor, Mr. Tamar Ramadan, with a number of Kurdistan and Iraq parliament members.

At the beginning of the Conference, Dr.Nezar Ismat, the general director of Duhok Health started with thanks words for the Prime Ministers  of Kurdistan Region, the Health Minister, Planner Minister of the Kurdistan Region for their support of health sector in Duhok Province, in which he pointed out the success and prosperity for the health sector during the last year 2013, also addressed to the implementation of a number of strategic projects for Duhok Health , including the foundation for Emergency Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cancer Hospital plus hospitals in Brdarsh ​​and Shiladzy, in addition to a number of health centers, wherecould considered as  the basis for strengthening the infrastructure of Duhok Health.

 Dr. Nezar had mentioned during his speech their future plans for implementation a vast number of projects such as; the establishment of the Directorate of Prevention Health, Blood Bank and a specialized center for training and capacities development for  health staff.

The Minister Dr. Rekaut Hamma Rashid, Health Minister had thanked and appreciated the Directorate of Health for its achievements in 2013 of health projects and expressed the their full readiness to resolve all the obstacles and challenges facing the health sector in Duhok.

At the end, the conference was divided into two sections; the First Section is private with health benefits and planning problems with the most important engineering projects, while the second section was on the education of the crew in general health activities and problems with health prevention services, which provided Domiz camp.
