The EPI unite in DoH Duhok is ready to implement a 5 days Polio National Immunization Days starting from sunday 8th April 2012.

The aim of this campaign as many other similar campaigns conducted since 1997 is to eradicate Poliomyelitis within the Global Polio Eradication Strategy, and this will be done by reaching all the children under five years with specific short period of time. <

To closely monitor the provision of medical services at Azadi General Teaching Hospital, today the DG of Directorate General of health in Duhok Govenrorate visited the hospital and closely observed the provided services to patient visit in the hospital for medical care.

 A delegation form American Rand Organization  visited DOH duhok and met with dr (Nizar Esmat) general director of health ,this meeting was attended by professor (Lee Hellborn) Assistant Director of WHO, Dr. (Melinda Moore) Researcher Advanced Global Health, and Dr.

The Minister of Anfal  and Martyrs  affairs Mr. Aram Ahmed, accompanied by members from the Duhok Office  visited  Directorate General of Health in Duhok and was received by Dr. Nizar Esmat Director General of Health.
